12 Pakistani Universities are listed in Times Top 500 Ranking 2020: Twelve Pakistani institutions are listed in Times Higher Education’s (THE) Times Top 500 Emerging Economies University Rankings for 2024.
How is the Ranking Based?
The Times is a daily newspaper published in Great Britain from Monday through Saturday. It offers rankings based on a number of areas. The following categories are used to determine the ranking.
- Research
- Citations
- Teaching
- Industry income
- International outlook
- No of international students
- No of students
- No of Students per staff
- Female to Male ratio
The sole university from Pakistan to appear in Time’s Top 100 list is Quaid-e-Azam University, which is ranked 85th overall. It featured stocks in the advanced developing, secondary emerging, or frontier category listed on the London Stock Exchange. Prior to 2019, there was just one university on the top 500 list.
