The Excelsior Scholarship 2025 is open for online applications for all eligible students, so all the students must get the scholarships in the USA. The Excelsior Scholarship 2025, in conjunction with other student financial aid programs, allows students to attend a SUNY or CUNY college tuition-free, and all international students are studying here free of cost.
A recipient of Excelsior Scholarships may acquire up to $5,500 for the students who get the fully funded scholarships in the USA. To decide the award amount, the 2016-21 resident tuition rate charged by SUNY ($6,470) or CUNY ($6,330) will be decreased by the amount of certain other student financial aid awards that a candidate has or will receive for the academic year, including an NYS Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) award and/or federal Pell grant, so never miss the opportunity and get the fully funded scholarships in the USA.

Eligibility Criteria For Excelsior Scholarship 2025
- Students must be residents of NYS and have resided in NYS for 12 continuous months prior to the beginning of the term to be eligible for the Excelsior Scholarship 2025
- Students must be U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens eligible for the Excelsior Scholarship 2025
- Students must have either graduated from high school in the United States, earned a high school equivalency diploma, or passed a federally approved “Ability to Benefit” test, as defined by the Commissioner of the State Education Department, to be eligible.
- Students must have a combined federal adjusted gross income of $125,000 or less to be eligible.
- Students must be pursuing an undergraduate degree at a SUNY or CUNY college, including community colleges and the statutory colleges at Cornell University and Alfred University, which are eligible.
- Students must be enrolled in at least 12 credits per term and complete at least 30 credits each year (successively), applicable toward his or her degree program, to be eligible.
- Students through continuous study with no break in enrollment except for certain reasons that can be documented.
- If attended college prior to the 2019-20 academic year, have earned at least 30 credits each year (successively).
- Students are applicable toward her degree program prior to applying.
- Students must be in a non-default status on a student loan made under any NYS or federal education loan program or on the repayment of any NYS award to be eligible.
- Students must be in compliance with the terms of the service condition(s) imposed by any NYS award that they have previously received for scholarship.
- Students execute a contract agreeing to reside in NYS for the length of time the award was received and, if employed during such time, be employed in NYS.
Excelsior Scholarships 2025 Duration
| A recipient of an Excelsior Scholarship 2025 is eligible to acquire award payments for not more than two years of full-time undergraduate study in a program leading to an associate’s degree or four years of full-time undergraduate study for the international students, so come and get the Excelsior Scholarship, or five years if the program of study normally requires five years, in a program leading to a bachelor’s degree for the international students who wanted to get the fully funded scholarships in the USA. |
