Eastern Mediterranean University Scholarships 2025 Application Process
This scholarship will select more than 1300 international students from 155 countries who want to seek a graduate-level degree (master’s or doctoral) or research in Korea for the scholarship.
All selected students will be placed at different universities in South Korea, so students must apply to get the Korean scholarship. The Korean Ministry of Education aims to increase international exchanges and competitiveness. All international students must apply to study in Korea. More than 104,000 international students have been on this Korean scholarship since 2016 because this is one of the best universities in the world.

Eligibility Criteria for Global Korea GKS Scholarship
- All international students can apply for this scholarship.
- Korean citizens are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
- A candidate applying for a graduate scholarship must be below 40 years to be eligible for the scholarship
- Master’s Program students must hold a bachelors degree or a level of education
- equivalent to or higher than a bachelor ‘s degree to be eligible for the scholarship
- Doctoral Program students: Must hold a master’s degree or a level of education equivalent to or higher than a master’s degree for the scholarship
- Research Program Applicant: Must have received an invitation from one of the partner universities for the scholarship.
- A person who has already availed themselves of the Korean scholarship is not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- Students who are in good health are eligible for the scholarship.

Scholarship Benefits
- Airfare (Return Air Ticket) is given to the students
- Settlement Allowance: 200,000 KRW (offered once after entry to Korea) are given to the students
- Monthly Allowance: (Degree Program) 900,000 KRW per month; (Research Program) 1,500,000 KRW per month are given to the students
- Research Allowances are given to the students

Every country’s Korean embassy and the domestic university have different deadlines, so all international students must apply for the scholarship, so hurry up and apply as soon as possible.
How to Apply for Global Korea Scholarship
- While applying to the Korean Embassy, a candidate needs to dispatch original or attested documents to the embassy for the scholarship.
- On the other hand, applying directly to the university requires a student to submit all documents to the domestic university for the scholarship.
- A student applying via the embassy can apply to 3 universities, whereas an applicant applying directly to the university can apply only to 1 university for the scholarship.
- Scholars passing round two of the Embassy track process should not consider it the final selection for the Global Korea GKS Scholarships.
