The Jason Lang Scholarship Program was established in memory of Jason Lang, so all the students must apply for this fully funded scholarship in Canada. The late Jason Lang is a 17-year-old high school student who was killed in a school shooting. The Lang Scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria for Jason Lang Scholarship 2025

  1. Students must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada to be eligible for the Jason Lang Scholarships.
  2. Graduating from an eligible Alberta postsecondary institution between September and April of the previous academic year with a minimum GPA of 3.2 is eligible for the Jason Lang Scholarships.
  3. Having completed at least 80% of a full-normal course load (i.e., at least 24 units of course weight for most programs) between September and April, you are eligible for the Jason Lang Scholarships.
  4. Students who transfer to another institution will be assessed for the Jason Lang Scholarship by their current institution and are encouraged to apply by the Fall Application Deadline to be eligible for the Jason Lang Scholarships.
  5. Louise McKinney Scholarships are not available to transfer students who are eligible for the Jason Lang Scholarships.
  6. In the second or subsequent year of an undergraduate degree program or in any year of a professional or postgraduate program, you are eligible for the Jason Lang Scholarship.
  7. Students must be enrolled full-time in at least one term in the upcoming academic year and are eligible for the Jason Lang Scholarships.
  8. A person who has lived in Alberta continuously for 12 consecutive months before attending a postsecondary institution is eligible for the Jason Lang Scholarships.
  9. An individual whose parents or guardians have resided permanently in Canada for 12 consecutive months prior to commencing postsecondary studies is eligible.
  10. Immediately prior to beginning post-secondary education, a person who was married to an Alberta resident.

Jason Lang Scholarship 2025 Requirements

  1. The student must be a permanent resident of Canada, a Canadian citizen, or a protected person.
  2. Before starting your post-secondary studies, the student or their parent or partner must have lived in Alberta for 12 consecutive months.
  3. Based on an 80% full course load, you are expected to have a minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
  4. An undergraduate program at a publicly funded postsecondary institution in Alberta must be in its second or subsequent year.
  5. The Louise McKinney scholarship program cannot be awarded to students.
  6. A 1-year certificate program is not allowed.
  7. The student must not have received more than three.
  8. A copy of the notice of decision or Verification of Status document (VOS) is required for protected persons, including convention refugees.
  9. There is generally a requirement for an Alberta Student Number (ASN) and a Social Insurance Number (SIN) for the Jason Lang Scholarships 2025.
