- In order to be eligible to apply for the University British Columbia Scholarships 2024, doctoral students who receive Tri-Agency scholarships may be eligible for 4YF tuition coverage.
- They will also receive a 4YF stipend and tuition support once their external scholarship funding ends, up to four years after the start date of the external award or until the end of their fifth year in the doctoral programme, whichever comes first.

- All Ph.D., DMA, and MDPhD applicants offered admission are automatically considered for 4YF funding at the University of British Columbia.
NOMINATION PROCEDURES for Program
- Graduate programmes must submit a signed University Award
- Recommendation Form with award number 6456 to the Faculty of Graduate Studies in order to inform students that they have been selected for a Four Year Fellowship.
- There are a certain number of Four Year Fellowships awarded annually to each graduating programme. Graduate programmes evaluate both new and returning students before awarding Four Year Fellowships to the top students, with entering students receiving preference.
- The sum of the prize does not need to be disclosed.
- At least eight weeks prior to the desired start date of the fourth year of study, recommendation forms must be filed.
