  • Requirements for Bright Futures Scholarships 2026
  1. The student should be a Florida citizen and a US citizen or eligible noncitizen for the Bright Scholarships. Regardless of where your parents live, as long as you are a Florida resident, you are eligible for Bright Futures Scholarships.
  2. Earn a diploma from a Florida high school or high school equivalent and be eligible for the Bright Scholarships 2023. Students who can earn this diploma from a public high school or a certified private high school are eligible for the Bright Scholarships.
  3. Students must be enrolled, or enrolling, for at least six credit hours per semester for the Bright Futures Scholarships.
  4. Complete the Florida Financial Aid Application before August 31 of your graduation year to be eligible for the Bright Scholarships.
  5. Students must be enrolled in a postsecondary program in the state of Florida for the Bright Scholarships.
  6. Students have not been convicted of a felony for the Bright Scholarships.

Florida Academic Scholars

  • Bright Scholarship 100% of funding for a public program of study for international students who want to study in the USA. Bright Scholarship includes all applicable tuition and fees, and students get a fully funded scholarship in the USA. Students who choose a private institution will receive a comparable award, but it may not cover the entire cost, so come and get the Bright Futures Scholarship.

Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars

  • The Florida Gold Seal CAPE Scholars program provides a fixed payment per credit hour, which varies with a program of study, for international students to get fully funded scholarships in the USA. The Bright Futures Scholarship is designed for students who are pursuing a certificate or vocational degree for international students.

Florida Academic Scholars 

  • Florida Academic Scholars must hold a minimum 3.5 weighted GPA for the students. They must obtain a minimum score of 29 on the ACT or 1330 on the SAT for the Bright Scholarship. They must also complete at least 100 service hours to get the fully funded scholarships

Florida Medallion Scholars 

  • Florida Medallion Scholars must hold a minimum 3.0 weighted GPA for the students. They must obtain a minimum score of 25 on the ACT or 1210 on the SAT and get the Bright Scholarship. They must also complete at least 75 service hours for the students.
