OWWA’s abbreviation is The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration. OWWA is the part of  Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and it gives scholarships as well. It is the lead government agency platform. It has the task some important tasks. for example:

• Protecting Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their dependents for students.
• And promoting the welfare and well-being of OFWs and their dependents for students.

OWWA Scholarship 2024 develops and implements responsive programs and services for eligible students. It ensures fund viability to their eligible students. This is towards the protection of the interest of its members and to get fully funded scholarships in the Philippines.

OWWA Scholarships 2024 is the lead membership welfare institution for students. It gives the interest and welfare of members and gives them fully funded scholarships. OWWA fund is a single trust fund that gives students much worth. It starts from:

1. The US$25.00 membership contributions of foreign employers which is a good amount
2. Give also from land-based and sea-based workers the same amount.
3. Further, from investment and interest income to the employee.
4. And from income from other sources to the employers.

About the OWWA Scholarship 2024-Study in Philippines

Some Objectives of OWWA Scholarship 2024

1. To save the interest and boost the welfare of OFWs for the students. This is in honor of their valuable contribution to the overall development effort for the eligible candidates.
2. Furthermore, to ease the implementation of the provisions of the Labor Code for this OWWA Scholarships 2024. This is concerning the responsibility of the government to the eligible students. Aiming at promoting the well-being of OFWs for the students to get fully funded scholarships in the Philippines.
3.  To provide social and welfare services to OFWs and students. This contains Insurance and social work assistance for the students. Legal assistance and cultural services for the students.
4. To ensure the efficiency of collection to their employee. The viability and sustainability of the fund for the OWWA Scholarship 2024. Through sound and judicious investment and fund management policies for the students in the OWWA Scholarship 2024.
5. Besides, I am to undertake studies and research in the OWWA Scholarship 2024. This is for the enhancement of the social, economic, and cultural well-being of the students in the OWWA Scholarship 2024.
6. Develop support abilities as well as finance specific projects for the welfare of OFWs for the students.

OWWA Scholarship 2024 Scheme

This OWWA scholarship 2024 Scheme is open again for eligible students. It is open to dependents of active OWWA members to get admission in the Philippines. Those who are already enrolled for the OWWA Scholarships 2024. Or will enroll in any four-year or five-year baccalaureate course at any university to get fully funded scholarships in the Philippines. Any dependent of an OFW who is an active member of OWWA may apply for the Scholarship in the Philippines and achieve many goals.

OWWA Scholarship is to take effect in the academic year 2022-2023 so students must apply to get fully funded scholarships. It was formed to provide education and training assistance to OFWs and their dependents to get knowledge and get scholarships free.

Types of OWWA Scholarships 2024 Grants

There are two types of scholarship grants offered by OWWA which are given below

• OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (OFWDSP) for students
• Education for Development Scholarship Program (EFDSP) for students

OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (OFWDSP) for students

This is one type of OWWA Scholarship 2024 for students. This program can be availed by OFW dependents (siblings or children) to get fully funded scholarships. Especially those planning to enroll in a state college or university of their choice. and wanted to study In this university Or are already enrolled in any degree course in a state college or university of their choice.

OFW relative earns a monthly salary of NOT more than USD 400 in equivalent for the students who are part of the OWWA Scholarship 2024. The candidates for the scholarship will receive P20,000 in total which is a good amount.

Education for Development Scholarship Program (EFDSP)

This is the other type of OWWA Scholarship 2024. The program is open to all OFW dependents for the students. Those students who are planning to enroll in the OWWA Scholarship 2024. Or are already enrolled for study?

This is in any 4- or 5-year degree course in their university of choice and gets fully funded scholarships in the Philippines. The recipient will be allowed a total of P60,000 per academic year which is a good amount.

The deadline for the OWWA Scholarship is always the first week of August, so come and get the fully funded scholarship in 2024

OWWA Scholarship 2024 Application Process

1. You will need to prepare the following required documents to proceed with the scholarship:
2. 2 copies of the completely filled-out application form are required.
3. 2 pcs of recent 2×2 ID photos are required.
4. Any document to validate proof of relationship to the OWWA member is also necessary.
5. Proof of OWWA membership of OFW is also needed. That is the official receipt of the OWWA contribution for this scholarship. Or a copy of the OWWA verification sheet for a scholarship.
6. Form 137 is for incoming college freshmen for scholarships. This is for those already enrolled in college are needed.
7. Medical certification/clearance for students. This should come with proof of physical fitness (Form 2A) for the scholarship.
8. Certificate of Good Moral Character (Form 2B) for students.
9. 2 copies of the school principal’s certification of the student’s academic distinction.
10. Also, a written statement of the parent (s) for a scholarship. This is to specify that the students have never taken the OWWA qualifying exams for study. The applicant has not gained substantial unit (s) in any degree course.
11. The applicant does not benefit from any existing scholarship grant (Form 2D) is required
12. A written statement comes from the students. This is to specify that he/she has neither applied for resident/immigrant status in other countries for the OWWA Scholarship 2024.
13. Nor hold a dual citizen status for a scholarship, assigned and authorized by his/her parents (Form 2E) required.
